Homemade Massage Oil
Homemade massage oils are easy to make and wonderful to use in a massage. No need to purchase commercial products full of chemicals and preservatives.
Homemade Massage Oil Recipe
Start with an ounce of your favorite carrier oil. I like to use regular olive oil since it is readily avialable in my kitchen cupboard. Other great choices are sweet almond oil, peanut oil, avocado oil and walnut oil. Almost any type of oil will work well as a massage oil.
Add 8 to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil and combine well. Use like any massage oil.
Some essential oils and their benefits:
- Lavendar - calming and relaxing
- Any Citrus - rejuvinating
- Rosemary
- Peppermint - stimulating, relives congestion
- Eycaliptus - fights invection, clears sinuses, painrelieve
- Ylang Ylang - calming, reduces anxiety
- Rosewood - calmes nerves
